Training on GIS techniques and expert systems as tool for improved forest management planning

On 23-24 January 2020 in Tirana, Albania was held two days training for GIS techniques and expert systems as a tool for improved forest management planning. The training was held as a part of the project “Generating momentum on water and forests in the Balkans – Balkans GeM”, funded by Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU) and implemented by the Research Institute for Forest Ecology and Forestry (FAWF) and Connecting Natural Values and People Foundation (CNVP).

The training objective was knowledge delivering to key actors in the forestry sector in Albania through an interactive training to reach the best impact on SFM, including aspects of integrated water and forest management through GIS techniques and expert systems as a tool for improved forest management planning
